Billionaires like Jeff Bezos have made out big under Trump.
Which might be why Amazon is so willing to play a part in the administration’s attempts to sabotage our election.
Today we released a new report on Amazon’s complicity, revealing that:
- Amazon data centers are powering Trump’s voter elimination tool.
- Amazon funds election deniers, like politicians who voted against certifying the 2020 election.
- Amazon’s alignment with Trump has come with big benefits: in the form of $3.672 billion in federal contracts, and a handout of $8 billion of our tax dollars.

Here’s the good news:
People across the country are taking action to call Amazon out and protect our elections. This week in dozens of cities, people are rallying, organizing, and marching to call on corporations to get on the right side of history. Hundreds of community and labor organizations are uniting through the May Day Strong coalition to press major companies to pledge their support for our democracy amidst ongoing election sabotage attempts by this administration.
Meanwhile, we’re calling on Amazon to get its hands off our democracy. Here are our demands:
- Stop powering Trump’s voter elimination tool, and kick Trump’s voter elimination lists off Amazon servers.
- Stop letting ICE, Palantir, DHS, and other fascists use Amazon data centers.
- Stop giving money to politicians who lie about election results.
- Sign the Business for Democracy Pledge to stand up for our democracy and oppose attempts to dismantle it.
In a democracy, the voters get to pick our leaders. Leaders don’t get to pick their voters. And no matter where in the country we live, or what we look like, most of us want pretty similar things: a good job that pays the bills, a home we can afford in a thriving neighborhood, to live our lives without fear.
Right now, a handful of corporate executives, ultra-wealthy shareholders, and their politician friends are enriching themselves by taking from the rest of us.
They’re jacking up the cost of groceries, gas, rent, and pretty much everything else. They’re redirecting our tax dollars from food and healthcare and giving tax cuts to big corporations and the ultra rich.
Now, with the election coming, they have every incentive to try to undermine our votes so that they can keep wielding their power and hold onto their riches.
The only way they’re getting away with that is if nobody pays attention.
It’s time to take our power back.
